Last week was a very big deal for the LGBT community in the United States, as the federal court ruled that same-sex marriages would be acknowledged in all 50 states as a constitutional right. A “small victory” in the heart of American politics, and as a supporter of equal rights (equal opportunity) I’m sure you will be seeing more gay wedding photography from Cain Photo Studios. And with that it’s my pleasure to give you Claudine and Rose.
It’s not often that I have to tell a couple “less kissing” during a shoot, but with these two crazy kids, some intervention was necessary. Claudine and Rose both serve in the United States Military, and for that they have my deepest respect. They are both more or less estranged from their families, but have come together to form a new family. “This is the family that I choose to have,” remarked Claudine with a slightly cheeky smile. Let me add that to witness a romance born from such deep-rooted love and dedication was truly humbling.
It made me think about my own relationships and how we get to choose who we want to be with, who we want to build a family with, and ultimately, who we want to commit our undivided attentions to. The power of that energy is such a rad force and it’s really something special when we focus that energy to build something truly special, and that’s exactly what these two have done.
So here’s to you two, and too a positive movement where love wins! It’s my pleasure to be able to support something I believe in with my craft.
